Today’s Scripture
.
“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him” – (Psalm 18:30).

Thoughts for Today
.
With so many people and influences trying to influence us to conform to deceptive philosophies, how are we to withstand their pressures? We need to stand on the Word of God. Paul said, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” -.(2 Timothy 3:16-17).
.
Whatever the challenge to our faith, we can find wisdom, guidance, and comfort in the Bible. When we share the Good News, the Bible will equip us with the Truth.
.
When we experience rejection, the Word of God will comfort and soothe our wounds. When we fear persecution, God’s promises will give us the strength to overcome our anxieties. When we are tempted to adopt a worldly view of life, the Word of God will transform and renew our minds.
.
Through God’s Word we will find the encouragement we need to continue following Him in faith and obedience, even when we are being pressured to conform.
.
Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father God, thank You for Your Word, which provides the comfort and encouragement I need when faced with pressure and persecution. Help me to spend more time in Your Word so that I will be able to withstand the pressures of this world. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer.Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen.”

Have a Blessed Wednesday and God Bless you.

Since 1990, the government has increased its restrictions on evangelism. According to Operation World, “The spread of Christian witness and the potentially ‘destabilizing’ effects on society of proselytism and Western-style democracy are the pretexts for harsh treatment of Christians.”
.

President Alpha Conde won reelection in Guinea. His ruling party, the Rally of the Guinean People, secured fifty-three seats in parliament. The opposition party won thirty-seven parliamentary seats. Sydia Toure, opposition party spokesman, refuses to recognize election results because it was fraught with “irregularities” and does not “reflect the people’s vote.” International observers claim that “breaches and irregularities were observed in a certain number of constituencies, preventing a significant number of votes from being taken into account.”
.
Pray that truth and justice will prevail in Guinea.
.
Pray for peace between the ruling party and the opposition party.

THAILAND, SOUTHEAST ASIA
.
According to Human Rights Watch, the Thai parliament passed a law providing “blanket amnesty to all people involved in political unrest, including protest leaders, military personnel, and authorities responsible for ordering and commanding the crackdowns.” Brad Adams, Human Rights Watch Asia Director, says, “The proposed amnesty would allow officials and protest leaders who have blood on their hands to go unpunished. By whitewashing past abuses, the government denies justice to victims and tells future abusers they have little to fear.”
.
Pray for the Thai government to pursue justice and repeal the new amendment.
.
Pray for authorities to seek wisdom and guidance from the Lord.

Pray for the Gospel to spread throughout this Asian nation
