The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. – (Psalm 119:130).

Thoughts for Today
.
People who are worldly wise often try to disguise this wisdom as God’s wisdom in the form of false religions or beliefs, but there is a vast difference. God’s wisdom is pure in motive, gentle, and merciful. It is not arrogant, boastful, harsh, or unforgiving. It does not create strife or division; it produces good fruit and blesses us. God’s wisdom, as with all the gifts, is always perfectly consistent with Scripture.
.
Believers should seek God’s wisdom in all things: seeking a mate, bringing up children, settling conflicts in their lives or starting any new venture. This wisdom is the ability to apply the Word of God accurately and correctly, not only in the believer’s life, but in the lives of others. Those with this gift can weigh a situation and receive spiritual insight into it. The gift of wisdom does not always go hand-in-hand with the gift of teaching, but it often does.
.
The true gift of wisdom brings glory to God. Believers and nonbelievers alike will recognize God as the author of this wisdom when we exercise it according to His will. Pharaoh recognized Yahweh in Joseph’s wisdom.
.
Nebuchadnezzar recognized Jehovah through Daniel’s wisdom. In Acts 6:10, the wisdom given to the apostle Stephen was striking. We are told that the Jewish leaders “could not stand up against the wisdom or the Spirit by whom he spoke.” This gift should always be used to draw glory to God and never to bring credit to oneself.
.
Is it time you took authority over worldly wisdom by growing and maturing in God’s wisdom?
.
Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, I pray that You would increase my Godly wisdom as You’ve promised in Your Word. Protect me from relying on any kind of wisdom but Yours . Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer.
Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen.”
.
Have a Blessed Thursday and God Bless you.

TAIWAN, EAST ASIA
.
According to OMF, “Visitors from China often comment of the spiritual darkness and the hardness of people’s hearts in Taiwan. Ministry in Taiwan is difficult and fruit is hard won. It has been said that Taiwan has more temples per person than any other place in the world. It is an island soaking in an atmosphere of idolatry and superstition. Taiwan is politically open but spiritually closed.”
.
Pray for God to provide Christian workers willing to serve in such a dark, difficult environment.
.
Pray for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to break down spiritual strongholds in Taiwan.
.
Pray for many Taiwanese to seek Truth and find freedom in a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Although child labor is illegal in Turkmenistan, government officials and teachers are regularly bringing large numbers of students into the cotton fields to work. Authorities pay the children about $.07 USD per kilo of cotton they harvest. According to one young student, “We’re asked to go to the cotton fields every day to pick cotton, after school hours. If a student does not obey instructions, he or she is reprimanded.”
