Christ’s Death on Calvary’s Cross

Christ’s Death on Calvary’s Cross
Kindly Pray for the Prayer Point at the end

Today’s Scripture
.
“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” – (2 Corinthians 10:5).
.
Thoughts for Today
.
Human nature is sinful, unholy, proud, and in need of redemption. Without Christ, we are self-centered, unforgiving, ungrateful, abusive, and boastful.
.
However, God has not abandoned us to sin. He has provided a way for each one of us to experience His eternal grace and salvation. Christ’s death on Calvary’s cross was God’s perfect solution for our sin.
.
Charles Spurgeon writes:
.
“No matter what level of unworthiness we find in our hearts, out of the depths, out of the dungeon of self-loathing, we still cry out to God, for His salvation rests in no measure or degree upon you or upon anything that you are or have been or can be. It is your responsibility to be empty so that Jesus may fill you, yours to confess your uncleanness that He may wash you, yours to be less than nothing that Jesus may be everything to you.”
.
The Bible tells us that every person who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Acts 2:21). When you accept Christ as your Savior, you become a new person. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17). God desires a personal relationship with you. He also wants you to be obedient to His Word; to respect and revere Him. You can trust God. He knows your future and the plans He has for you.
.
Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, as I look at the world around me, help me to remember that You are in control and that your eyes are on the righteous and your ears are attentive to our prayers. May my thoughts be fixed on you and may I walk as a new creation in You. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen.”
.
Have a Blessed Monday and God Bless you.

YEMEN, ARABIAN PENINSULA
.
The country of Yemen is still very unstable. For the local people, life continues to be hard. Many foreigners have left the country, for others there are great restrictions. Al-Qaida has the freedom to operate almost at will in many places.
.
Pray against the Islamic al-Qaeda groups that would seek to destroy the very foundation of Yemen.
.
Pray for the Yemeni Believers in Jesus to have peace as they meet, that they would grow deeper in Jesus and would have boldness to bring the light of Jesus to others.
.
Pray for whole families to have dreams and visions and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ.

VIETNAM, SOUTHEAST ASIA
.
A tropical storm claimed the lives of twenty-eight people and displaced 80,000. According to the Vietnam government, nine people remain missing. The floodwaters submerged over 100,000 homes. The flooding also shut down transportation and closed numerous roads.
.
Pray for Vietnam to recover from the heavy rains and flooding.
.
Ask the Lord to provide for the thousands of homeless Vietnamese.
.
Pray for dry weather and the restoration of key infrastructure.
.
Pray for the safety and well-being of Vietnamese Believers.

TAIWAN, EAST ASIA
.
In an effort to maintain good relations with both China and Japan, the government of Taiwan is calling for peace negotiations. Anna Kao, spokeswoman for Taiwan’s Foreign Ministry, said Taiwan “wants the disputants to discuss regional stability.” Japan is “enraged” that China created an Air Defense Zone over islands both nations lay claim to. Although Taiwan is the only country attempting to broker peace, they have no intentions of abiding by China’s Air Defense Zone and plan on continuing their normal air patrols.
.
Pray for peace and stability in the East China Sea.
.
Pray for all parties to see that “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”
.
Pray for the Lord to be glorified in this situation.

BAHRAIN, ARABIAN PENINSULA
.
The Bahraini courts have rejected a request by Mr. Rajab, a human rights activist, for early release from a two-year sentence. He was jailed because the government accused him of taking part in illegal gatherings and disturbing public order. This was all part of pro-democracy protests mainly led by Shi’ite Muslims in Bahrain.
.
Pray for the government of Bahrain to know how to honor and respect the Shi’ite population in their country.
.
Pray that Sunni and Shi’ite Muslims would live together in peace.
.
Pray for the Good News of the Lord Jesus to be what brings lasting peace into the hearts of the people in Bahrain.
