Thoughts for Today
.
A traveler in New Mexico saw a Native American with his head to the ground as if he was listening. The traveler heard him muttering, “Wagon, one driver, two passengers, and two horses”.
.
The traveler was absolutely amazed and said to the Native American, “You mean to tell me that you can tell all of this by listening to the ground?”
.
“No”, was the reply. They just ran over me a few minutes ago.
.
There are many believers who have been run over by Satan and do not know how to get up and fight back.
.
There was a camel driver who was taking a caravan across the desert for a few day’s journey. One morning the driver said to his companions, “We had intruders last night.” They looked at him in amazement and asked how he could tell, when they had neither heard nor seen anyone. He pointed to the tracks in the sand the intruder left behind.
.
If anyone does not believe in Satan, let him open his eyes to the tracks he leaves—broken homes and devastated families. As a believer in Jesus Christ, you are given authority over Satan. He is a defeated foe.
.
However, Jesus does not prevent him from attacking believers. In John 12, Jesus reminds His disciples that Satan is a vanquished foe. Jesus said, “Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out”(John 12:31).
.
After Jesus’ resurrection, Satan’s sentence was passed down. Now it is a matter of waiting for God’s timing to carry out the sentence. When Jesus returns, He will execute His judgment against Satan.
.
While there is no mistaking Satan’s future, your eternal future can be decided by committing your life to the ultimate Victor, the only One who offers eternal life—Jesus Christ.
.
Prayer: Our Loving Heavenly Father, please help me to see the plans and attacks of the enemy clearly—and to take the authority I have been given in Christ over Satan. Thank you that he is a vanquished foe. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. Gratefully, In Jesus Loving Name I Pray, Amen.” Have a Blessed Thursday and God Bless you.

MONGOLIA, NORTH ASIA
.
In a speech at Kim II-sung University, Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj shocked students by saying, “No tyranny lasts forever. It is the desire of the people to live free that is the eternal power. Mongolia holds dear the fundamental human rights – freedom of expression, right to assembly, and the right to live by his or her own choice. Mongols say, ‘Better to live by your own choice, however bitter it is, than to live by other’s choice, however sweet.’” Witnesses report his speech received “lengthy applause.” In response, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un canceled his meeting with President Elbegdorj. Praise God for Mongolian President Elbegdorj’s willingness to promote freedom in the world’s most repressive country.
.
Pray for good relations between Mongolia and North Korea.
.
Pray for Mongolia’s freedoms to aid the growth of the Mongolian Church and the spread of the Gospel.

EAST TIMOR, SOUTHEAST ASIA
.
Despite government efforts to reduce domestic violence, the situation remains unchanged. Patricia de Araujo Fatima, legal officer for ALFeLA, says, “Women are economically dependent on their husbands and that is why they are scared to report their case. They are scared their husband will divorce them and they will be unable to care for their children. In addition, some women do not know that domestic violence is a crime. Then, when police get reports of domestic violence they keep quiet about it.”
.
Pray for the government of East Timor to crack down on domestic violence.
.
Ask the Lord to protect women and children from violence in their homes.
.
Pray for the perpetrators to repent of their actions, seek reconciliation with their families, and turn to a saving belief in Jesus Christ.
.
THE GAMBIA, WEST AFRICA
.
President Yahya Jammeh confesses he is a “dictator.” According to the Human Rights and Democracy Report, The Gambia’s poor human rights record includes cases of “unlawful detentions, illegal closures of newspapers and radio stations, and discrimination against minority groups.” However, despite the allegations, Jammeh states, “Oh yes, I am a dictator of development, a dictator of progress, and a dictator that will not be dictated to by outsiders.”
.
Pray for President Jammeh to believe in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
.
Pray for an end to human rights violations in The Gambia.
.
Pray for the safety and protection of Gambian Believers as they proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.
